The following three City meetings will take place the week of August 21st.

 

Monday, August 21, 7 PM

Council’s Monthly Public Hearing

1.       Off-Road Vehicles. Ordinance governing the use of dirt bikes. ATVs, snow mobiles and other off-road vehicles on city streets. (Clarke)

2.       Fracking. Ordinance prohibiting the presence of fracking waste in the city. (Jennings)

3.       Naming. Proposed naming of Softball Field #8 in Colt Park for Luis “Drak” Colon. (Concepcion, Sanchez, Bermudez)

 

Wednesday, August 23, 5:30 PM

Public Works, Parks & Environment Committee

  1. LRAR Grant. Authorization to accept a grant of $2.5 million from CT Dept. of Transportation through its Local Road Accident Reduction program to improve the Sigourney/Asylum and Weston/Jennings intersections. (Bronin)
  2. Traffic Signalization. Approval to accept a grant of $4.5 million from the Federal Highway Administration for replacement of the City’s traffic signal control system and to replace traffic signals at 15 key intersections. (Bronin)
  3. Federal Lands Access Grant. Authorization to accept a grant of $135,000 from the Federal Highway Administration for installation of wayfinding signs within the Coltsville National Historical Park. (Bronin)
  4. Fracking. Ordinance prohibiting the presence of fracking waste in the city. (Jennings)
